Lesbianism has never been illegal in England. But that didn’t make it any easier. For years, Fiona struggled with her sexuality and when she turned to her pastor for help, he was obliging. An exorcism was arranged. Four men, including a ‘specialist,’ valiantly fought to exorcise the ‘demon lesbianism’ for hours. Sadly, more demons entered Fiona’s soul during the exorcism and the lesbianism couldn’t be forced out.

This kind of sad story wasn’t rare in the 1800s…but this was 1980s England.

Following the failed exorcism and the entry of more demons, the Holy Men were at a loss — luckily…

No - thank you! I was so nervous about writing this piece. Your experiences are so similar to mine, it's unreal. My ex had our daughter as flower girl for his Mom's wedding, but at the last minute 'uninvited' her as he wanted to enjoy the night without worrying about having her there. She was 9, so not exactly nappy changing needed there! The little love was heart broken.

Your ex sounds a similar 'type.' I just want my children to feel loved by their father.

Lockdown has been a nightmare, he's actually used it as an excuse to see…

The systemic legislative bias that no one is talking about.

High levels of fatherly involvement are associated with positive outcomes for children including better physical and mental health, higher educational achievement, lower criminality, and substance misuse. Furthermore, mothers who feel supported by their children‘s fathers suffer less parenting stress and parent more positively.

Yet in 2021, there remains a legislative bias that offers fathers the opportunity to opt-out of equal parenting and forces mothers to ‘pick up the slack.’

For the record, I believe that any father that wants to opt-out entirely of his children’s lives should be able to. That’s fine. Walk away if you wish.

But, should a…

When I experienced depression for the first time in 2020, I was desperate to feel better. Some days, I was desperate to feel anything.

I understood from my Doctor that being able to manage my self-talk would be invaluable to my healing. But I had no idea how to even begin to tackle the negative thoughts that were so automatic and in some ways, so appealing.

Working with a psychologist and researching as much as I could, I sifted through the clickbait and the general advice to discover practical steps that I could actually take to achieve a more positive…

It would have been difficult to grow up in the 90s without seeing or hearing about Scream. The slasher movies featured an all-star cast and truly shaped the genre, paving the way for more horror films on the big screen. Directed by Wes Craven and starring Neve Campbell, Drew Barrymore, Courtney Cox, David Arquette, and Skeet Ulrich, the Scream franchise is timeless. The recognizable mask of the killer (or killers) — known as Ghostface — is reborn for each movie and you won’t make it through Hallowe’en without seeing a few of these a little closer to home.

Regardless of…

Blurred Lines by Robin Thicke ft. Pharrell Williams

This used to be one of my favorite songs to boogie to. Yes, really.

The catchy rhythm, the upbeat and happy vibe, the hey, hey, hey that those of us on the dance floor would sing along to.

Imagine the moment when I read the lyrics.

Lyrics that are 100% about unwanted advances, assault, and rape.

I was more angry than upset.

What an absolute disgrace that anyone ever thought that Blurred Lines deserved to be written.

If you don’t know the lyrics yet, the song is the story of a man meeting a woman in the club. Initially, she…
