JJohn Malcolm Thorpe Fleming Churchill is an impressive name, for an impressive man. Also known as ‘Fighting Jack,’ and ‘Mad Jack,’ this British officer went into battle with his broadsword, longbow, and bagpipes.

As well a serving his country during World War Two and later in Palestine, Jack also worked as a male model, a film-star, a professional sportsman, and a newspaper editor. He escaped from Sachsenhausen concentration camp and after getting to Dachau, rescued 700 Jews, and lived out his retirement surfing the rivers of England.

This is the incredible story of Jack Churchill.

The making of the man

Jack Churchill lived a colorful life, full of activity, movement, and variety from day one.

The eldest of three brothers, Jack was educated in Dragon School Oxford, King William’s College, on the Isle of Man, and Sandhurst Military Academy.
