Waiting for a bus home at 4:30pm in the afternoon should be a safe thing for anyone to do. An NHS worker had her world turned upside, down when she was grabbed from the bus stop and dragged into bushes. Unlikely salvation in the form of a car horn was the only thing that saved her from enduring an even longer ordeal.

At 4:30pm in the afternoon, a female NHS worker was waiting for her bus home in the Manchester area, England. As she waited, she spotted a man watching her and she became unsettled. In an effort to avoid his unwanted attention, she turned her back and tried to move away from him.

Suddenly, an arm was around her neck and she was being dragged back towards some nearby bushes. Barely able to breathe through the choking grip, she was unable to scream or call for help. Desperately, she threw her back on the ground, hoping that he was a mugger and would take the prize and run.

Terrifyingly, the man’s response was to thrust a sharp object against her back and whisper, ‘it’s okay, you’re coming with me.’
